A busy year is planned for Fleury 14 Enterprises.  On Dec 6, 2012 I announced the Victor Walk starting on May 14th at the Child Abuse Monument in Toronto, ending on the steps of Parliament on May 23rd.   I hope you will join me in Ottawa or start your own walk in your community.  If we rise together I know we can end the childhood sexual abuse epidemic that is striking our country.  Together we can turn victims into Victors by raising awareness and promoting advocacy and healing.

With that being said, I am very pleased to announce that Ms. Kimberly Barthel, OT, has agreed to join the Fleury 14 team as an advisor on the subject of childhood sexual abuse.

Kim brings 30 years of experience in the field of pediatric occupational therapy and Neuro-Developmental Treatment.  Offering workshops and lectures worldwide to therapists on how to help children and adults heal from trauma.

I am also happy to say that Kim and I are writing a book together.  Together we intend to “elevate the conversation” moving beyond sexual abuse and towards healing.  Be sure to watch this blog, Kim will be giving us monthly blog posts.

We have another great event to announce for 2013.  We have planned the first annual “Theo Fleury 14 Fantasy Hockey Camp”, October 3 – 6.  Myself and some of my NHL Alumni friends will help you to bring your game to the next level, to elevate your skills and really put power in your technique.  We are currently offering an early bird discount, so be sure to register before Feb 28th.

One piece of sorry news to announce is that Carey Fraser has decided to leave our team.  Carey is off to new adventures and will be starting her own company. Thank you Carey for your commitment to Fleury 14 and for your passion and commitment to healing.  We wish you much success.

And finally, thank you to all our blog readers and to all my Facebook and Twitter followers.  Every day I am both amazed and honored that so many people wish to share their well-wishes, concerns and fears with me.  Keep them coming, you give me strength.

Happy 2013 Canada!
